Meterological Info Display
The ACAMS MET module displays all meteorological information that is required in the tower including:
• Wind direction and speed (instantaneous, 2 min average, 10 min average)
• Barometric pressure: QNH, QFE, QFF
• Air temperature and dew point
• Runway temperature
• Cloud base and ceilometer information
• Runway visual range
• Runway status report
• Transition level

The ACAMS system interfaces to the met sensors using dual servers. The servers are equipped with interface cards appropriate for the various sensors. The servers perform pre-processing of the met data to provide the information required by the user. Separate client programs running at each operator position present the data to the user. A fault in a sensor will be indicated at the operator position.

The ACAMS system supports all known meteorological sensors.
