2008 ACAMS AS delivers its Integrated ATC Tower
Solutions to This project involves EBCO Systems of Brazil - ACAMS AS’s partner and representative in Brazil. The implementation process remains ongoing and is currently progressing well and in line with the tight schedule. “The contract represents a significant breakthrough for ACAMS AS in South America. From a strategic perspective, it is a very important contract that clearly underlines ACAMS AS’s position as a leading supplier of integrated systems for the control, monitoring and information display at modern ATC Tower operations” stated ACAMS AS management, represented by Mr Kim Fredheim and Mr Odd Thodesen. Through adopting the ACAMS concept, CISCEA will experience solutions substantially improving the working environment of the Air Traffic Controllers and propel the Galeão TWR towards a higher world class standard that will take it into the next generation. This represents another example of the Brazilian aviation authorities taking a leading role in the application of modern concepts and technology in ATC (as was the case some years previously when they were one of the very few ATM providers to start using the concept of electronic flight strips throughout Brazil). The project encompasses a full upgrade and modernization of the TWR cabin and ATC operational environment, including: • New TWR Furniture and fittings • Consoles, Shades, Ceiling etc. • ACAMS Integrated TWR system • Re-fitting of existing up-to-date systems • Radar system, VCCS, Recorder, In the modernized Galeão TWR, the ACAMS concept is being comprehensively applied: • ACAMS Functions Integrated for common Controller Working Position access: • Airfield Lighting Control • Meteorological Information Display • Navigation Aids Status Monitoring and Control • Publications • Time Synchronization and Display • Tower Cabin Internal Lighting Control • Sun Shade Control • CCTV (8 cameras covering APRON and RWY ends) • Entrance Control with Video Surveillance • Notice Board • Flight Information Display • External Alarms • Intercom Hotlines (Fire Stations, Apron Control) • Crash Alarm • ATIS (SITA) • Electronic Flight Strips (TATIC, the latest generation of EFSS from Saipher ATC) ACAMS AS is a Norwegian Private Limited Company that was established in Oslo, Norway.
